Camera Envy

I must confess to a bit of materialism. I’ve owned a Pentax K1000 for probably 22 years and have really enjoyed it. I’m not a great photographer, but I have learned a few rudiments & enjoy the taking pictures with the camera.
When I decided to move to digital, I bought an HP Photosmart 620, which I also like. So, I’ve decided what I really want is a Pentax *istDS Silver. From what I can tell, I can use the lenses from my K1000, and (if I recall right) a 4 times faster shutter than the K1000 (1/4000th).
The Livingroom.org.au review of the black version contains links to a number of reviews of the camera. The silver model just reminds me more of my K1000 - hence the drool…
